It is Santa Claus’ first day as Santa. The elves tell Santa that in order to deliver the presents he has to go down people’s chimneys. Well, Santa has to practice going down chimneys so he is ready for Christmas Eve.

Place Santa into the chimney, but he keeps popping up out of the top. He doesn’t want to go in! He finally goes down the chimney but gets lost on the way and pops out the left side and then the right side of the chimney. Then he finally gets to the bottom of the chimney, but he is upside down, as his head dips down into the fireplace!

Then he comes back to the top but now his feet come out from the top! He is upside down again! Then he switches between upside down and right side up. The kids see he is upside down, but when you look the is right side up.

The chaos continues until you offer to help Santa. You open the chimney revealing the inside. But Santa is not there! And then he appears on your back, which of course you don’t know until the kids go crazy trying to tell you. Or end with Santa hanging from the family Christmas tree, just like an ornament! Or, even better, tell the kids Santa is coming thru the door right now! It is a great trick to use to introduce the real Santa Claus at your Christmas parties.
